Call the authorities in an emergency

In an actual emergency situation, call the authorities in your region. Don’t conduct any unsafe escape rooms, and don’t actually lock someone in a room. The escape rooms we design are meant for fun.

Don’t use hazardous or dangerous materials

In an escape room, you want to be creative in order to have fun, but don’t use dangerous or hazardous materials.

Be careful

Make sure you know any escape rooms you are conducting are safe. Get permission from everyone who will be participating in the escape room, and don’t ever hide anything in an unsafe area, like near electricity.

Explain the room to participants

Always explain what an escape room is to participants before they engage in an escape room. Answer all of their questions and ensure that the escape room is safe.

Abide by all laws

Don’t allow anyone to engage in dangerous activities. Minors must always have their parents or guardians with them. Always abide by your government’s laws, in any region where you are.

Safe environment

Always make sure the entire escape room experience is a safe one. Make sure the complete environment is safe before hosting an escape room.
